40# injector question

I got a set of injectors from Cotton's in '01 all the invoice says is "40lb injectors". I looked at them tonight they have the # 621037 on them and a lime green top. I also have a set of 36# Ford blue tops. Wich ones are better for a street driven car? TE-44...stock stall...dutt neck ic...3" THDP....probably Champion Irons to replace damaged stock heads...(Will upgrade injectors later but for now...??

I would go with the injectors that you think are the cleanest and the ones with the best chip.
I think the 36 ford injectors are considered one of the best.
I have seen 40s only flow about 38 and tend to be a little harder to get a good chip for. After I got a TT chip for the 40s, everything was good.

Maybe consider selling both sets of injectors and getting 50s or 65s? 50s are cheap now $250 or so. 65s are probably $300 or a little more.

ES1 gives wise council....All you're out for either set of injectors is the price of a good chip. Either set will take your car into the low 11's.... :biggrin:

Thanks...The chip in my gn with the 40# injectors just has white sticker on it that says "street 40# 93"...got it from Cotton's the same time as injectors. The chip in my T says R93 and has a few numbers in the corners 6,6,3 I think....that one runs with the blue tops...any info on these chips?

I think the 40lb chip from Cotton maybe a Jay Carter chip.
The RA chip is a red armstrong chip.
I feel you would be much happier if you got a Turbo Tweak chip for either set of injectors. People also speak highly of the extender chips from Full Throttle and a Thasher for the 36s is a good chip.
