Just received updated Extender Chip and upgraded Translator Plus. Car runs great and new features and methods of enabling further improve on a good thing. With my Translator Plus fixed and upgraded, able to leave timing part connected without any downsides.

Information provided with my order indicates that a 5800 RPM rev limit is programmed into the chip. Should I be concerned about this limit? Reason for asking is while dialing-in boost and adjusting for the upgraded software, the tachometer needle hit 5500 RPM a couple of times and once it hit 6000 RPM because of tire spin. I backed off the throttle as fast as I could and did not hear or see any indications of problems. However, afraid that the chip may control RPM by cutting the fuel. Don't know how the rev limiter works so any information is appreciated.

Thanks,
Richard

I didn't see anything in your sig about any upgrades to the bottom end of the engine. Assuming there are none, then 5800 should be a good safe limit to use.

You've got enough other work done to support the car breathing up to 5600 or so, but....
