Wow, hubless compressor wheels. Is it a press fit on the shaft or is it reverse threaded? Interesting...but I'll stick with my (old fashioned)6466BB. This new tech is on its way to making everything lesser obsolete!

The compressor wheel is threaded onto the shaft .
I thought my Turbonetics 6465 .63A/R spooled fast until I got the Comp CTR 6771 .85A/R . Night and day difference , now they have a hubless that flows 15% more with even faster spool . You can't go wrong with the new stuff !!

If someone is looking for a killer deal I’m selling my 6466 hpt turbo it has less than 5 miles on it. Only reason I’m selling is I just picked a 4.1 stroker and getting a hpt 7170 turbo for it. Price is 1650 shipped to lower 48 states I paid over 2100 for the turbo. ACACC03E-9C85-4585-84CD-A30735FAF630.jpeg

Comp CTR A/Rs depend on exhaust inlet/outlet flanges. T4 inlet with larger V-band ex has 0.81 & 0.96. V-band to V-band A/R 0.82 & 1.06.

Wouldn't your HPT6466 be perfect for the 4.1? ,, thinking it would do 800whp without breaking a sweat?

Tturbosmart has turbos that are hpt from what i understand
The compressor maps are there to see
You would/need bigger for 800whp especially if your looking at things carefully.
if hpt is your preference the 7170 will do that power easier.

I just picked up a PTE 6466 with H cover and T4 -4bolt .81 exhaust housing next gen turbo. Anyone have experience with this particular turbo, going on 3.8 109 forged with MA heads and champion off center intake, fts 215/220 cam. cr around 10to1. Im hoping for near instant spool with a 17 blade PTC TC running E85.

Damn Peakcock, that a 109 block and how many miles did you get outta that block with the 6466 blasting through it?

Yes 109. It’s girdled with billet center caps. I don’t see it failing any time soon so long as the tune stays safe. It was dynoed by the new owner of the car.

Expensive piece of hardware, I ran a John Craig 60-1 back in 1994, paid $700. That turbo, stock short block, kenne bell chip, Art Carr 3k TC, ported factory irons and red stripes ran a best of 12.20 at Atco. Miss those days, when a 12 sec street car was concidered fasssst.
I was going to go with an older Precision 7168 cea with the same housings, about 1k cheaper, but the hype in this thread, well here we are.
