700r4 question

does anyone know which yoke the 700r4 uses???is it the th400 yoke???i`m thinking of putting a 700r4 in a 454ss p/u that has the slip tailshaft 400...

There the small 27 spline output. Not the same as a 400.

I have already done this conversion on my truck. The 700 uses the smaller yoke like a 350 or 200. You will have to cut the front drive shaft. Can't remember how much, did this a few years ago. You will like the difference, at least I did

Most Ss454 Pickups Have A 400 With The Smaller 700 Type Yolk As Well As Wiring For The 700 ,just Need An Ecm Change For All To Work.

i did the swap to my 1 ton truck with the 400 but it had a strap type yolk with a split shaft...when i did it , i got the shaft and trans from a half ton long bed, so i didnt know about the small yolk in the other 400, but this info helps me alot...thanks everyone....and ps, the od makes for a much better driving experience!!!
