8.5" HP/TQ safe limits?

Quick Question,I just rebuilt an 8.5 for a street car (might run drag radials) and I am curious how much HP/TQ it can handle safely? All bearings & seals replaced,Detroit Tru-Trac,31 spline mosers,& TA stud girdle.Thanks.

a lot I think.. street car with drag radials thats DRIVEN all summer high 9s/low 10s @ 138+ in a full weight car

I think you will find guys in the 9's with less goodies than you have. I think that puts the FWHP around 750 or more and torque about the same. My guess only. There are some calculation tools to do the math. What are your engine specs? Transbrake? I don't think you will break on drag radials.
