I've seen similar cars for sale in the 4k to7k $ range depending on how nice the body and interior is. I live in Massachusetts so a good rust free example is getting harder and harder to come by and prices are slowly starting to reflect that.

i cant see a NA car selling for that much. granted you can ask anything you want.btw i'm in CT

http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/4338256932.html

car above has been for sale for months and the price was more and has been dropping. there are others around here in the $2000 range as well.

I guess I'm a little off on my valuation judging by the car for sale in the craigslist add!! I rarely see any Na regals in the #1 to #2 condition in mass and when I do see them for sale the seller is usely asking much more than 2 grand for them. But like you say asking and getting is two different things !!

I couldn't see going past 2k for any non turbo Regal without the T package at minimum, but that's just me.

Today's update. I was able to have a look at it today. It is very clean inside and out. Has had one restart and looks great. The asking price is 3k.I can put anyone interested in contact with the family.

Wow...real nice one! I like it....my brother bought one just like it three years ago for $1250 with close to the same miles, has opera lights, sunroof, and all the Regal information in the glove box. Check to see if the manuals and such is there...the window sticker is a plus........my brother made his up to look like a Turbo T somewhat...came with the wire spoke hub caps, but he bought some chrome Buick wheels up at Carlisle. The filler panels were shot, so I got him some front and rear ones, fiberglass quite a while ago. (I keep threatening to come up and steal it) The car rides like a dream, after he put new shocks on it.....real nice driver!

I'd go around $2000-$3000 range.....as you can see, both he and my brother has some really good deals there. It all depends on what the buyer will pay.....your friend's car is really nice....looks pretty rust free....look for rust along door edges, quarter panels inside, etc. Man, I wish I had the money to buy that one, I'd love it.
