91 Roller Lifters Install

I'm rebuilding a 91 Buick LeSabre and I'm installing the new roller lifters and they have an oil hole close to the top. Does that face front or rear?

it can't go up just to the front or to the rear

I'm thinking if it's for pressure to the front and if it's for bleed to the back.

They can go either way. Oil pressure from the lifter bore will find the hole.

Ok I will face them forward if that will help to feed them.
