Hi Everyone

First, want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and New year.

My question is this, I've got a 87 GN with all the supporting bolt on's for alky. I'm comfotable with the power the car is putting out 17 lbs boost, about 300 RWHP. This is just a street cruiser.

With the quality of 93 octane these days I'm starting to notice alittle knock under boost. Would alky still be a good addition for my power level? Or should I run a octane booster to bumb up the 93?

Thank You

Octane boost is GARBAGE and should not be used.

Get alky and run 20+ PSI with no knock and no worries! Thats what I am working on!

Go with the alky. Even if you don't turn up the boost you'll make more power and a tank would probably last a long time because you wouldn't have to spray that much.

Alky! I run 93 octane and 21 lbs of boost on the street and get over 20 mpg!

Money well spent

It's the cheapest way to quench detonation. It's worth the initial expense that's for sure.
