A show of support for Kasci Weaver

Guys,

My wife has an idea and she put me up to asking you guys for help. She is involved with a Ministry at our church called In-Stiches. They make quilts for the sick in our church these quilts have strings and members of the church say a prayer and tie a knot in the string. That way the recipient sees what each knot represents. She would like to so a quilt for Kasci and I thought this might be a chance for the TR community to show support.

So if anyone wants to send me a club, business or other T-shirt we will use this to make quilt squares. The quilting group will make these into a prayer quilt to be sent to Kasci.

Now if my plans hold I'm going to BG this year (I say that every year and something at work comes up). We will have the quilt there for the Buick Community to tie a knot as well.

Great idea, I was just wondering the other day if she was doing any better as I have basically just made her a regular in my prayers.

I am going to talk to the club president tomorrow and see if I cant get an MGNTA shirt sent out to be sewn into the quilt.

Alan I really appreciate that. Just when I thought the community isn't like it use to be you all pulled thru with your prayers,posts, & asking how she was doing. Kasci had since her operation in January. It was suppose to be a 2-3 hour surgery & ended up being 6 1/2!

She has been in alot of pain recovering. She is getting back on her feet & doing better. She wants to come in & help out. I told her maybe next week you can come in for an hour & see how you feel. I don't think she is ready for it. She sees Me & Eric working 13+ hour days & wants to help.

With all the pain medications she is on it his hard for her to stay focus. She gets a little grouchy with me the last 2 weeks so I would estimate about a month before she starts yelling at me & she should be doing fine at that point.

I just wanted to say Thanks to every one for all the prayers & thoughts. She still has to do a Pet scan to make sure she is 100% cancer free but all of the cancerous tumors have been removed in her neck.

Alan I know you & your wife have been constantly asking & I really appreciate what you are doing. It is alot more then I ever expected.

We in the community take care of our own. Up or down we will be there for members of the community. Suzanne came up with the idea. I put it out there for the community to contribute and they have. Her goal is to bring it to BG. We'll see you guys there.
