A whats it worth question

Hi guys,I'm a newbie here,hope I put this inquiry in the right forum.
Here goes:

84 Grand National
solid body,respectable paint
solid frame,floors,trunk
ratty interior and it has t-tops
motor is half apart
non stock wheels (Weld)

..whats it worth? (ballpark)

$1000 - $1500 . And to some nothing because it needs work.

The seller is looking to get $2300 (they started at 3K)
It doesn't need any paint or bodywork,just the interior,and mainly the the heads,intake,turbo,etc. to be reinstalled.

I wouldn't mind getting it for $1500,but it seems like a longshot.

I might just keep walking...

he bought it as a project.
the motor is apart waiting for head gaskets

If you are mechanically inclined and very sure that all it needs is head gaskets then I think it may be a decent deal, mind you I haven't seen the car and am just going off of what you have described and stated.
