Ned an AC compressor, need it to be in good working condition prior to removal. What vendors here deal or may have reconditioned units that are worth trying out. Or am I better off getting a new unit ' Am I be better off spending the extra dime or 2 and get a new one and just put it in one time.

,Got one here locally and it could have been the poster boy for RUSToleum paints'LOL, spun the pulley and clutch assembly thought I had a screech owl. hiding in it! . It supposedly works just ain't purty;it's a lotta wrenchin to find outwhether it works or not. Saw an OE replacement for 2 and 1/2. 12montn warranty.

Does G-Body or Gryhead deal with ac stuff ??Anyone know a good vendor who specializes in AC stuff.??/ Youe input would be much obliged!! Thanks! Chavo

ACDelco still lists parts information for them on thier site and they are available from vendors who sell thier stock.

Spectra (read the folks who make the gas tanks and sending unit's) also has unit's for sale. I saw them at Rockauto.com

What happend to the original? Can't you rebuild it?

Never rebuilt one. Any special tools required. May look into that and give it a go.

other than the puller needed to get the clutch off I can't think of any. I've never done it so I can't be more specific. I used to have a link to a forum that was all about AC. If I find it i'll post it.

yeah that looks about right, thanks for the link rob as I'll need it for my rebuild too.
