First off being a new turbo Buick owner, I noticed my waste gate actuator rod is threaded and has a jam nut that looks like it will allow you to make the rod longer or shorter. I'm guessing this must be an adjustable waste gate?
Ok, the other day while peeping under the hood I noticed the jam nut worked it's way loose so I finger tighened it and forgot about it.
Today driving home it seemed like the boost came on easier than usual.
I then remembered the loose jam nut and went to tighen it only to find it was now already tight...so tight I couldn't break it loose with my fingers.
I'm curious...is it possible the rod for the waste gate actuator spun and tighened the nut?
