Aloha,

When my transmission was rebuilt, the shop put on an aftermarket adjustable TV cable, it is not the stock 2004R TV cable. My shifts come on way too soon, the tranny shifts before I can even build 10lbs of boost in each gear. If I manually shift the car, it runs great, but when I leave it in OD or D, quick shifts. Should I replace the TV cable with a stock TV cable? The one currently installed is really hard to figure out.

You shoudl have done a search here for this subject. I jsut went thru this 2 months ago. The Pioneer aftermarket cable is too short.. Go with an OEM ONLY!!

The OEM one cost around $120.00:eek:
I put a aftermarket one on and it works fine. I don't recall the name of it. Sounds like you need to adjust it alittle more.

HTH,
Scott

Then it was NOT a Poineer brand. They are 3" too short. No amount of asdjusting is gonna change that..

qwik turbo six,i agree with you .hey frank i have also heard that puioneer cable scenario too.pioneer is a big company so its kind of a bummer to see that they made such an error with the cable but thats how it is some times w/big companies.

yea Chris I was shocked too. All the rest of the cable looks decent too. Its just too short. How could they have messed up that??
