air conditioning problem.. please help

a/c was converted to r134 before i got the car... looks like original compressor.. 30 lbs on the low side... car blows nice and cool... but getting a weird sound from compressor...
no sound when off. just when on for a minute or so...

comprssor does not cycle.. clutch engages and continuously runs... after a few minutes get the sound from the compressor..grrrr then away..then back...


one ac line and dryer sweat like crazy...

also get a sound from what appears to be inside the heater box like gas pssst for a sec... then stops.... then again... then stops and so on....lol

no leaks... not loosing anything...

added can of oil...dont know ac.. any help would be appretiated

I'm guessing but you didn't do any mods from R-12 to R-134? The "growling" is the compressor not being oiled properly. The "hissing" is the refridgerant going through the orifice tube and it's probibly block up with crap. Time to take it apart and see what damage you've done to it.
