Sounds like good times to me!!! Are you trying to say this would be the expression on my face>:eek::eek::D do you run straight meth or mix w/ water?

just took a look at the other thread you have going and thecat is totally correct....u have the possibility to run 11s by adding nothing more then alky, reburn tt chip, and sticky tires

Just trying to help. Are you making progress with your car? I have seen you going through a few issues yourself. Your hybrid is just like the rest of the LC2 cars here. Takes time patience and logical evaluation before you make changes or buy things for it. I check the board frequently but pm or email me if you have any question I might be able to help you with. That goes for anyone.

Does anyone see a concern in putting this kit on a car with 107,000 miles all original motor never opened up except to change valve springs?

Have the timing chain replaced. The stocker uses plastic teeth on the cam gear. You sure don't want that to fail on you. Hey are you coming to the tech meeting posted in the midwest section? it at 10am today in Darien

Chain should be done alky kit or not

No issues with mileage. 107 is nothing :)

Agreed! Timing chain and a set of Comp 980 valvesprings and you're good to go! Oh, and a alcohol kit from Julio too!

Back when I first bought my car I went 12.0@ 109 three months after I bought it! Stock everything, 42# injectors, Razor's alchy and slicks. Later went 11.98@111 on the stock turbo.

I have 117K on my original motor, running 26psi 93/alky no problems yet, but its starting to tell me to save my money...:frown:

Off topic: Julio, thanks for all the help! Great experience dealing with you!:D You're the man!

Anybody have a specific grind cam that works well with the alky set up that they are currently running?

Stock one works really well.. leave it alone.. if you must change it, go to a roller setup.

Yes, I definitley plan to go roller so i dont have to worry about oil additives plus the performance gain, any particular brand?

Comp makes some good off the shelf stuff for our cars If it's in the budget get both, ported heads and cam But if u can only get one I'd keep stock cam n buy a set of ported heads. Even stock heads still, as long as they r ported u should gain more with them n the stock cam then stock heads and a roller cam.

I agree, if the stock cam isnt busted dont replace it. theres really no need. Now if you can only afford heads get that. you will see more gain with a set of heads then a cam. if you can get both then get both. There is alot of info we dont have on your car to set you up with the cam you need. if you really want to change cams contact one of our fine vendors that is close to you and have done lots of buick motors. i Pick nick micale @ Home he has been around buicks and can talk to you and see what you need.

A comp 212/212 roller is fine.

A set of Champion irons would go well with that cam..

Some buy the heads and cam.. and wait to pop the head gaskets racing it... then tear into it for a project.

Dont open pandoras box unless you really need to go there.

Im all in for the alky  But be careful it gets addicting.....A single shot will soon turn into a Double Shot!

Thanks for all the info. fellas Im gathering as much info. as possible so when its buy time i have a plan , and it helps to here different opinions. I am strongly leading towards a roller though due to the oil situation we have these days.:)
