Ok, so I want a front mount intercooler, but I don't want to spend $1000 on a "ready-made" kit...
Since all the piping will be custom, I'm wondering which would be better for the uppipe - aluminum or silicone?
The aluminum would be a welded one-piece.
Anything silicone would probably be made with reinforced silicone straights and 90's and coupled with 3" or 4" length pieces of aluminum tubing on the interior.
I know the aluminum would have less pressure drop, but the silicone would probably keep the air temp down better - Which one is more important?
