This is the 3rd one I have scrapped. The sad part is the story is always the same. They put it away and were going to keep it or restore it:rolleyes:I bought it for the drivetrain and a few parts you just can't get.Runs good, but too far gone.It was a barn find that went bad:confused:

I just got it home, drove it up and down the street a couple times:DI am going to put a plan together this week.I will keep you informed.Thanks.

Kevin:)

Bad is relative. With these cars getting more rare even the ones that have Fred Flintsone brakes can be saved for the future.;) I've had more than a few suggest that mine should've been scrapped but since I got it the NADA value has gone up $3k and that suprised me to say the least. Doesn't mean it's worth it yet but as rarety increases so does value as a rule. It might keep others alive but if you take your time and do the work yourself then you might have a gem later.

I have parted many of these cars and this one doesn't appear that bad based on the pics that I see. How is the frame and floors? Quarters appear good

Rotted floors shouldnt be the end of one of these cars. People replace full floors all the time in older muscle cars. Its just a matter of a few late nights in the garage.

Remember cutting up $500 '69 Camaro's for parts when they were dime a dozen and everybody wanted parts?

Only so many Regal's are original turbo cars.

If you think your's is bad, you should see the 87 T I just picked up. When we dragged it out of the field it sat in for the past 10 years, at least 5 snakes (alive) came out of the holes in the rocker panels. Based on the pics you posted, it looks very savable.

Does not look too bad to me at all! Sell the roller after you take the motor and trans. Sad part is that you will make more off the roller than the drivetrain. That should tell you that it was a keeper. Sell it as is to someone willing to put in the work. Parting it out is a bad idea IMO!

Well before you guys think I am a monster or something;).I went to the shop and had a quick look today
floors rotten
rear frame rotten
Hood and trunk lid soft and lots of dents
Interior ripped and mildew
headliner done
rear quarters have been patched and rotten
rockers,missing
doors rusted and have been repaired before
rear spoiler broken
front bezels and grille cracked
rear tail lights cracked.
lots of other minor switches and things damaged
A pillars look rotten just blow windshield
So looks like it is a parts car, this would cost alot more to restore than you could buy one for alreasdy done:(

Kevin

WOW, the pics dont make it look that bad at all...
Does it have a good GN horn cap?

Bryan

Nope and the steering wheel looks like a good core.My biggest concern is their is only water with very little antifreze and I am concerned about a cracked block etc.I have only had it running for 10 min or so.:rolleyes:When I get on the lift I will snap more pics, just too bad people put things away and don't know what they have done

We have one here in Panama City one owner 87 GN that just sits. The guy leaves it at his work and moves it from time to time. It's a t top car. Completely bone stock 89k miles. Last I heard was he will take $8500 and had new Interior put in around 07.

Also found this in Dothan Al.
