Just wondering if anybody in the T/R world is a bass fisherman like myself. I used to tournament fish heavily the last few years. Started working on T/R's and have not been since. Planning on leaving it all next week and going.

I have a 2003 TR-22, Mercury 250XB, that with me in has ran 79mph and tech guy, 140pds, ran 81mph in a lake no current. GPS

Just wondering any other bass fisherman/Speed demons!:D

I didn't know you could be a Bass fisherman and a motorhead!:D My dad has been a competitive and recreational bass fisherman for most of his life. He started several different clubs over the years. Most of the competition was local tournaments but he did fish the Red Man tournament trail a few years back.

I only have a passing interest in it, though. I prefer saltwater fishing. Dad's never been into any of my cars before this one (the '36 is only 3 yrs older than him!). I did let him borrow one of my GN's and I think it impressed and scared him. His last boat was killer; a BassCat Pantera II with a beautiful matching trailer and a 250 Evinrude! Now THAT was a fun ride!

San Diego has some great bass lakes, they planted florida LM back in the 50's and now they are pulling out some huge bass. My favorite lake is Lake Hodges, the lake record is 20lbs 5oz.
I fish both fresh water and salt water. The bass spawn is on right now and some big fish are being taken....tight lines!

Not much anymore. I work for a Mercury Platinum dealer (plus we sell Procraft and Fisher) and yet I have almost no time to fish in the Summer. I used about $200 worth of rod and reel the other day to catch bluegill with the kids just because it was going to waste collecting dust in the garage:D

Saltwater

I saltwater fish some:o . I will not lie I do not like to go farther out than I can see the land. We mostly inshore fish here for speckled trout, spanish, blues, STRIPERS BIGENS 50+#'s, and my personal favorite GREAT BIG REDS my biggest over 40#'s and I know of one 2 years ago 70+#'s. In good ole NC not Louisiana but NC.
Oh we also have 140+# tarpon now that comes right up into our bass fishing holes now.
Anybody get to NC and want to go fishing let me know:D

I fish a fair amount...at least I used to until I started working for my current boss. I have a 201 Stratos and I stick to Bass...with the occasional salt water jaunt.

I love to fish saltwater but I am not on the coast.

I do a little catfishin'.....

Never really got into saltwater fishing - guess it's because I don't live near the ocean

Those look yummy.......................................I hear they taste great but they could qualify for something from Fear Factor

I worked at a Stratos/Johnson dealer in Tallahasse. Bellflower Marine. They sold the hell out of those boats.............about 200 a year with about 400 a year outboard sales. There were some crazy rigs with some fanatical fish fans. Lots of doe spent to catch a fish. I never got it and have never owned a boat. Talk about a thankless job
