I went 130.8 in the 1/4 on a stock 3 inch intake tube, stock screened maf and a 9 inch K&N.

Wow. I guess I was meaning below 12 but dam guys lol. My concern was sucking up that weak ass stock intake tube with a turbo that sucked too much lol. So for mid 11's, do I not have to worry?

What was the stock intake tube's diameter anyways. And is there a good maf out there that I can fit in between the factory tubing and the factory air box?

The reason people get rid of it is the tear factor. A small rip post MAF will mess you up. Metal pipes look cooler too.;)

I went mid 10's at 129 with the stock intake tube also. My car had the stock MAF, stock TB and a stock unported intake. I later switched over to a 3.5" MAF pipe and 3.5" MAF because the factory tube was old and in bad condition and the car picked nothing with the bigger MAF/MAF pipe combo. With that said the 3.5" MAF/translator is a good upgrade in drive ability and dependability and worth upgrading too.

Wow... I had no idea. So then with no mods and say a K&N it should be good for high elevens you think?

Interesting the path this thread is taking. Many will say first things to be done is Cat, airbox, etc. I'm still stock airbox and filter, cat, etc. I'm trying to see how quick I can go with just chip, boost and 93 octane. The magazine say these things ran 13.9 stock, I'm trying to see what it will take for me to go 13.9. So far, 15 psi, 93 octane and TT chip, adj fuel regulator and I'm at 14.5, still a ways to go to 13.9. I'd be amazed if just cold air would bring me down 1/2 a second?? I'm still fine tuning and interested to see how quick I could go with and excellent tune and stock chip, with the additional boost and fuel.
Fun process for sure, but time consuming. I think many make a bunch of changes at once and lose track of what is contributing or detracting by how much.

most cars were 14.4 to 14.7 stock when new. put a set of real slick on the car and launch it hard it will go faster. 17/18 PSI good chip and 93 with slicks and open exhaust will get you high 13's. to answer the OP yes the stock air box will go high 11's it is easier to do with something more open but it can be done
