Hello all. Been a member for a while just dont post much. I'm looking to pick up a turbo buick within the next 2-3 weeks hopefully if I can find the right one. I'm looking for a good shop to do some mods to the car when I get it. Probably a good strong engine/fuel/tranny build with an upgraded turbo and converter. Looking for a shop to do the work and tune it right. I really would like to save $ and buy one already modded but just in case I cant find that one I'm doing a little research for a shop that can do it for me. Besides, I still need to find someone to maintain the car even if I find one modded already. any help would be apreaciated. Thanks.

i would just send the car to maryland and have ANDERSONPERFORMANCE.COM do some work on it, there is some shops around here in the socal area but i woudnt recommend them.

Dutweiller

Doesn't he still rebuild and tune Buicks? He was in the Bay area I thought Cucamonga? My best friend was very happy with the rebuild mr. Dutweiller did on his 231

Kenny's in Saticoy, near Oxnard. About 325 miles from the Bay area - only 50 miles or so from L.A.

I recommend Lou's auto

he's one of the most competent Buick people around.
you may hear negitive remarks from some who cannot find their hiney with both hands, but disregard their comments.
ask around, anyone with even half a brain would recommend him!
good luck

Id say a lifetime of working on cars is far from not being able to find my ass. I took my car in for work once in my life (had the money and was workin alot of hours and decided to see what it was like to have someone else work on my car...and do something Ive done several times myself). I havent been back to any shop anywhere, since. I'll just keep doin **** myself.
Pgoffner- be prepared to have anything and everything you say taken as insult or offense and then have no clue what the hell just happened when the **** starts flying..."wanna grab something to eat" can be taken as "I want to kick your ass and you suck as a mechanic", and you'll be getting screamed at and threatened and thrown out of his shop. Its definitely an original experience.

Duttweiler is the best, bar none. But he's an engine builder, pretty much...not a mechanic any more. All the GN stage stuff...the race heads and blocks and all that were developed with duttweiler on my uncles car in the 90's. If you have really deep pockets and can handle a long waiting list, Duttweiler can build a mean motor. Lou does it all.

I guess I didn't study geography as hard as I should have. Messed up on the Bay Area, Cucamonga however is only 40 miles east of LA.

Look at my engine build, and the track times that back it up  .. Anderson is top notch, every one of his engine builds is a work of art...

Thanks

Thanks Guys!
for the recommendation's & to the few I couldn't please I apologize. There's a saying most in business would agree with. ( 10% of customers will cause 90% of problems ) I Learned that many years ago. Unfortunately my area of expertise doesn't qualify me to deal with mental health issues. So I reserve my valuable time to those that appreciate my efforts & understand that I'm a mere mortal & didn't ascend from heaven, Regards Lou

j/k

nope, but shipping a motor isn't that big of a deal  ..

I see you have the car for sale in you're Sig.

I guess it's not all that bad once you get passed the used part. It's Probably a good idea you sell it before that thing blows up.   ;)

Wow...this thread really took off! Nordy, I'm impressed with your car and its build. Question, how fast can I go while still keeping the 200r tranny(built of course) in and still be reliable enough to drive daily if I wanted. I wanna go fast, but I still want O.D.

Thanks again all for the feedback.
