Hey has anybody had goog luck with the trans go 2004r hd2 Shift recalibration kit? I am tring to decide between it art carr and the ck kit. It looks like the trans go and ck kit comes with boost valves but does the art carr kit? Is the ck kit worth spending twice as much on compared to the trans go?

There is a Transgo kit in my tranny, along with several other aftermarket pieces and mods. I have no had problem with it. Shifts are super quick and firm, no slushbox here.

I'd check with who you are having rebuild the transmission. Which reprogramming kit do they suggest? As with most everything, there are little tweaks here and there in a tranmission also. I'd be sure that they are accustomed to rebuilding the 2004R transmission.

I had the Trans-go kit in my Cutlass, I replace it with the CK kit. The CK kit is far superior hands down! Dont have any experience with the Art Carr kit.

well looking to spice this thing up mostly on my own. I have not heard many good things about the local trans guy.

Currently using trans-go in the past Art Carr to me both are good. 2 different builders so as stated earlier guess it depends on builder.

I have had the trans go in both my cars and loved it.

I'm running an hd2 kit and it works great. I'm also using other updated parts too, 10vane pump, alto red band, clutches and steels, gn servo. It took some time fine tuning the BTO tv cable but now it works very well.

I have had both AC and CK kits and the CK kit is hands down better. Its nice around town(no bangs) and shifts real quick under hard acceleration
