One of our customers sent this in to Kevin to engrave. It's a chrome plated windshield wiper motor cover. Wonder if it is a one-off part or is someone mass producing them? Anyone ever see one before? Our customer is a long distance truck driver and is on the road right now.

Hey mark, I emailed you yestersay about a setup (cold air one), not sure if you got i??

thanjks
Ralph

sheesh, that was weird. I was browsing your sirte and couldnt find what I need. I got a me-r setup with a 3in inlet turbo. I want a mafless 3in pipe and a 3in cold air kit, all aluminum, no chrome.
wondering you had it in stock and how much.

thanks
Ralph

I got a new 12in air filter, can I use it instead of yours to cut cost>?

I don't offer 3" cold air kits, only 4". Your filter you have now wouldn't work even if it had a 4" inlet, it would hang down too low.

If you are not running a MAF I would suggest going with at least a 3.5" pipe to connect to my cold air kit. I can make the pipe longer to compensate for no MAF sensor. Try emailing me directly if you have any other questions.

ralph, there are a bunch of people that make 4" kits for mafless cars, that are similar to mark h's until where the maf would be, but they stay 4" all the way to the turbo, one solid piece. I know mease makes them, but I also know you won't buy his stuff. There are others besides him, just takes some digging.

As an aside, an article in GMHTP tested a stock location intercooler vs the stocker on a few different days and ambient temperature was different on those days by 10 degrees F. The output temperature of the turbo only shifted by 2 degrees, so it seems to me decreasing the restriction is more important to system flow than lowering temperature input to the turbo. Clear as mud?

Mark:
the 12" filter would hang down too low, but how about using a 9" cylinder instead of a cone? I think there's room for it and it hangs down the same ammount. I'm not sure how much surface area you gain since my feeble mind can't figure out an easy way to calculate the cone's surface area.

I offer 4" Inlet pipes as well for those not using a MAF sensor and it connects right up to my cold air kits. He is running a 3" inlet turbo so the connector to the turbo would have to be reduced to fit. Also when going to 4" to the turbo there can be clearance problems with the IAC harness and also the up pipe. Not really sure what his setup is.

I was saying his 12" won't work with my system because it sounds like the inlet size he already has is 3". I supply 9" cone filters with my kit that have a 4" inlet.
