I think it depends on how rare the cars are. I'm sure if someone had the first tta, grandnational, or gnx they would sell it for far more then the average going price.

If I was a collector I may pay that much for the first Charger made for the market. Doesn't GM have GNX #1 and would never sell it? I think the first Vette was accidentally sold to a guy in Newfoundland and GM wanted it real bad and the guy refused to sell. The dealership wasn't supposed to sell the car and they did. Something like that.

I have seen GM's GNX, not sure if it is the 1st one. I think they keep it at Sloan. Brad Conley has the prototype GNX and the prototype GSX

I thought GM had 1-10 GNX. Thought I read it in Kirban's book. I could be wrong, so could he.

if I had the $$ Id buy it in a second. Its gonna be worth a whole lot in therefuture..

It just says the first available for retail sale. I am sure the first few off the line are NOT included in this and are at someone's place that has an "in" and can get their hands on such.

Are those a limited # like the GNX or anything?

If not, I doubt that it will ever really take off IMO

I like it...

I'm sure they guy selling is trying to keep out low-ballers, which in itself has it benefits. Makes you wonder why dodge didnt get their act together with the first charger redo. That thing is not very indicative of the original at all. This one, though, looks great, and I normally dont like dodges at all.

I like it too and I'd buy it if I had the money. If I had the money, I'd buy two so I'd have one to drive. I like what Chrysler/Dodge has done with grills in the past few years.

Plus this car is a special color that is currently not available on the SRT8. It was built for Northwood University where my son goes to school and was auctioned there as a fund rasier at their car show. I was there and saw the car. It is above average as fas as fit and finish. The university has the largest outdoor car show in the US with most of the car companies bringing cars and new car displays to show. They put 250,000 people through the campus looking at the cars. Northwood has deep roots with the car companies and has most of the kids of folks who own dealerships going there, they offer a degree in delership operation. They also have a program for Aftermarket Automotive Marketing which my son is in. I am pretty sure they will sell the car, I would but it if I could.

true Mike. Is one of one in that color.. my friend with a GoManGo Daytona nearly flipped his lid when I showed him that car. He wants it bad.. lol he refused to believe that thee was ever an ST8 built that color till I showed him :)

The sad thing is that you can bet that car will never really be a car. It will probably never see the street. It's only valuable because of it's production number and perfect condition. Anyone who buys it will store it as an investment. It might as well be a statue or a painting.

Quick... name a big bucks collectible 4 door muscle car.

If there is one I can't think of it.

IMO that car wouldn't be worth much even it were the only one made.

Not sure if this fits the bill but one of my neighbors has a really clean fully restored 4 door bel air that I'm sure he could fetch a few bucks for.

I grew up during the muscle car days and, among others, owned a new 65 GTO and a new 69 Dodge 440. I used to be a purist and think a 4 door just wasn't a real muscle car. But now, I realize that that new Dodge is faster than any of the old-school muscle cars from back in the day and a much better engineered car. I enjoy fast cars and performance now, even it has 4 doors or even if it's made in Japan. :)
