And never buying????? Just reply to this thread if this has happened to you.. let's see how many tags it gets. Maybe it's only me?

Seriously why waste anyone's time if you don't have the money?

I miss the old days when we trusted each other enough to send parts and checks without a picture and knew the other guy was legit. Maybe we can start a board for old timers that's by invitation only? No offense to tb.com

Otherwise Merry Christmas!!!! Happy Birthday Baby Jesus.

I miss the old days when ......
you didn't have to worry about your catalytic convertor being stolen
you didn't have to lock up your house or your car in the garage
you didn't have to worry about people stealing the wiring from your house or the AC condenser for the copper
you could go to malls, restaurants and school without the fear of being shot
Times changed :(

But Merry Christmas anyhow :D

I get the same problem on here!!! Take pics for nothing! Hold this or that for 1 week 2 weeks 3 weeks ! Also on Craigslist. Or other dipshits writing me telling me how they got something for nothing therefore everyone else in the world is over priced ! Etc...... I could write a book with stories

I stopped trying to sell anything on this board back in 07 for this very reason. Turbo for sale and you want pics It looks like a turbo.

another one i should skip but OH well.
1-its in "excellent condition" to you may not equal the same to him.
2-its in "Great Condition" ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
3-its in "Good Condition" ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Most of the time pictures help REDUCE conflicts like the "Excellent condition" steering wheel one a few years ago. Could have probably been avoided if proper pictures were provided before the sale.

Look at it this way they see the picture and didn't buy, Vs buying and then you having to deal with even MORE returns and money back and who pays for shipping and whats taking so long for the refund and what about paypal fees. and your a scamer i want my cking money back. and threads start to pop up and your guys defend you and his guys defend him. you get the PICTURE LOL.

68 makes a good point! After all, one man's description is never the same as another's, unless of course it's a brand new product. I mean, after all guys, how hard is it to click a shutter? Doesn't cost anything to click a digital picture and upload a few, other than your time.
Wouldn't you feel more comfortable knowing the buyer now knows what he's getting and there will be fewer disputes about condition/appearence?

Just some thoughts.

I haven't sold anything in a long time.. Have a lot of parts that are just sitting here. Whenever I sold parts I did give very clear pics of what they were getting. I figured it protected us both if there was a problem. Of course you have a LOT of picture "collectors" out there to  Got some great deals in here on parts now.. Not worth it for me to go looking for an hour to find a $20 part. (oh of course thats shipped across the country to for free) :p

This might sound bad, but if your not a "regular" or an old timer like Dan:D I probably am not going to buy or sell anything to you.

Life is to short to be screwed around either way, wheither it is the time, pictures, money or whatever.

WHAT YOU SELLING ? JUNE FEED CORN ? I NEED PIC'S .

If you don't post pictures, then they ask for them. If you just take the time to post pictures right away then no body ever asks for them! I just posted A Bunch of parts for sale a week or so ago and posted pictures of everything and I never had one person ever ask for pictures...

I choose to do it this way for several reasons like (TurboDave) mentioned above.... 1) It lets the buyer see what shape the part is in before he buys it, 2) Nothing is hidden in the description this way and in the end the buyer got what he already looked at and agreed to buy...

With people I know and have bought parts from before I never ask for pictures as I Trust Them!

Sorry ... but I always liked this....

I'm fine with sending pictures on used parts and generally have posted pictures of used and new parts, but the point I'm making is when you send pictures of a perfectly fine part.. and many times new parts.... they still don't buy.. I think there are too many tire kickers and not buyers - wasting your time without the intend of buying in the first place. Not even the courtesy of telling you, "sorry man" I decided I don't want it or I can't afford to buy it" etc... just cricketts.
