Anyone using a turbo timer

I own a WRX and have been reading in rice magazines. I would love to have a turbo timer. Just take the keys out and let the car run for 2 miniutes without the worry of being stolen and saving the turbo. Is anyone using one? Or are our cars computer too old? My buddy has one on a 91 turbo talon.

Basically, a turbo timer would just send 12v to the 1 or 2 ignition circuits in ours cars. Has nothing to do with the computer. I hooked up a remote start on mine instead of a turbo timer. That way I can remote start it in the mornings when its cold and also leave it running without the key. It will shut down in 20 minutes if I forget to turn it off manually.
