Early on in my build I replaced the crumbling factory bushings with Energy Suspension pieces. At the same time I disassembled the front clip to facilitate engine bay cleanup as well as the engine swap. The ES kit replaces the factory core support bushings as well as the actual body bushings. I went to hang the first fender on, and it was a good 1/2 inch higher than the core support. I hung the other, and it too was high, but not quite as bad. Just wondering, has anyone else had this issue?

I have the same kit from Energy Susp. I had to shim the rad support up about 1/4-3/8" on both sides as well....one thing to be sure of, is that you have the remaining body bolts tightened down all the way as the bushings will compress 1/4 to 1/2". then fit the doors to the quarters and rockers, then hang the fenders and see where you're at. Good luck. ---Keith
