Hey John, do you know what the hp rating is for each piece? At what level would I need the 5" or 6" piece? Also is there any prices that can be attached to these coolers?

I do not know the exact ratings for these units.
When I spoke to Mark he stated that the 5 inch unit is all a v6 powered car would need.

as usual everyone has interesting points regarding this i/c thread, but also as usual 99% of all this info is regarding 1/4 or 1/8 mi. performance, what about the guy with a low 11 sec street car who just likes to rip up the pavement on weekends? (i'm not condoning this behavior) LOL (ok maybe) anyway my question i guess is this, is a front mount i/c overkill on the street?

A Front mount is pointless with a 11 sec car.....

my opinion is that a front mount is the only way to go for a street car. i beat my car and i love to do it back to back...what is heat soak? i wouldn't know cause i have a front mount:D Bob

hmmmm ..Melissa must have a special V4 stock location intercooler on her STREET car .. She runs very consistent low 10s in street trim .. she has the "keep it simple and stupid" approach plus she doesn't like all that "bling" :p oh follow her idleing for an hour or so in beach traffic when it's 90* as usual to each their own

Results from today for air temps

On a full boost from start to finish(26.5#s) for 7.3 seconds
Start temp was 60*,lifted at 67*
It was 60* inside the shop

That is great.... only picked up 7 degrees under boost for 7.3 seconds... Did you have a big fan blowing across the front?

Glad to hear she is ok.
Please thank her again for the room and hospitality in NJ

Westside,I have a decent sized fan there. But that was also a 3rd back to back pull,so there is some heat soak to consider

what can i say? she's much faster than me. maybe i need to get a stock location so i can go low 10's...i think my front mount is holding me back cause my engine stays red hot all the time..temp gauge is maxed out:eek: at least the heater still works:biggrin: i agree to each his own as we have seen in the past there are many different ways to go fast in these cars and still be streetable. Bob:)

I have a Precsion front mount in mine and doesn't get over 180 on the hottest days of summer. Mind you I removed my heater box and AC and have a 3" aluminum griffen rad. But I still do have a custom heater setup from a Pathfinder behind my glovebox that keeps things nice and toasty when its cold. Took alot of custom fabing to make it work.
