- According to a Drag Race Central report from the Pro Stock Super Bowl in Houston, Texas, the Pro Modified entries of Joshua Hernandez and Frankie Taylor were involved in an accident.
According to the report, "Both cars went out of control on this run, Hernandez getting way over near the right wall and then very sideways as he tried to regain control, almost rolling over as he crossed the centerline and hit the left wall.
"Meanwhile, Taylor's car got way over by the left wall, may have scraped the wall, then fishtailed and hit the wall, overturning. The two cars got tangled up and slid the rest of the way down the track. From here it looked like there was no hard contact between the two cars, but Hernandez' car got tangled in Taylor's chute. Hernandez' car stayed upright, but Taylors ended up on its roof, the front bodywork several feet from the rest of the car.
"After a few anxious moments the call came from the rescue crew, the drivers were out of their cars and okay. The damage on Hernandez' car appears limited to the front end, where it hit the wall." (Photos by Dave Kommel, Auto Imagery)
