As far as HP/TQ potential... How does this turbo compare to a Te45a w/ a Q-trim wheel?

What is the largest DBB 66/67 compressor wheel'd turbo?

The 45a has a 76 trim exhaust wheel it think. If its a GTQ its different and will require a lot more stall to get it going.

The Te45a/Ta66's I've purchased from Limit in the past have always had a P-trim or a Q-trim. My current unit has the Q-trim wheel.

I wondering if any of the newer 67mm DBB turbos have more HP/TQ potential compared to what I already have?

So how does Limit differentiate the two? I doubt they would have the same name for both since it would confuse everyone. If you want more potential you should consider going to a tangential 4 bolt exhaust housing.

Same name... You have to tell them you want the turbo upgraded with the Q-trim wheel.

Class rules require a 3-bolt housing with max. 66/67mm comp. wheel.

The i would go for the 67 compressor wheel and the GTQ exhaust with the ball bearing option and get a good torque converter. Bump up the compression and build the combo around the turbo since it will be your limiting factor.

Damon. Do you know the rpm you crossed the traps at? Your the first guy to make passes with this 10" converter and I'm curious what the slip looks like un-locked...

Thanks

I know it's over 5300. That's where the shift light comes on. 28" tall tires. I know the motor wasn't screaming. I'd guess 56-5700. I need a powerlogger.

Went back tonight and tried not to get booted for the lack of rollcage. I tried to let off soon enough to not kicked out. Oh well, they they ran me off. 11.06 (again) @ 108 mph. Let off somewhere between the 1/8th and the 1000' mark. 1/8th mile time was a 6.90 at 101 mph. 60' was 1.63 again on Nitto's. These tires work, period. Drove it 60 miles to the track and back. The combo has plenty left in it, still at 23 psi of boost. :p

I bet those 55's were close to being maxed out

good numbers

No 'cause the methanol is making up for the difference. I'm see the 02's in the .850's in third. I keep taking fuel out.

You can go way up in boost with the 55's and alky. I was pulling fuel with 50's and alky and still went 126mph at 3600lbs.

Great times Damon.

I am glad to hear those numbers. At least I know when I go back in with my engine it will rock!!
