The V series bearings are my first choice........or Were my first choice........ I can't buy all the sizes I need so I stopped using them. .You might still be able to buy some of the CB1398V Clevite bearings........but Mahle Clevite has discontinued the .001 V's and the VX's (+.001) . I have some of the original Wide Vandy's in .001 and .002 US. They are indeed different than the Clevite made V bearings.
Back in the 90's bearings were easy to find in any size you needed. That supply has all but dried up. When you find some bearings you like, buy a lifetime supply if you plan on keeping your car.
