best inj. for ta49

some say 36's some say 42.5's and im hearing now to get 60's,im confused on which to choose now.

stock block,downpipe,throttle body,intercooler.
mods:alky,k&n cold air intake,powerplate,exhaust will be hi-flo cat converter with 3" magnaflow muffler and 3" piping till the front of the axle with turn down, not going all the way back like usual.

i will get a custom chip once i choose the size of the injectors.
 
oh and my ultimate goal is to go as fast as i can with out a roll cage,so high 11's is my limit.

i will also be installing atr rear sway bar and control arms,drag radials,ect...

42.5's
is a good injector to run for your combination
 
Then why not go for the mototron 60's, I just put them in my GN with a TA 49 turbo and Turbo Tweak chip. The car idles and runs Great!!
 
i hit 92% on the 50s with alky and the TA49 , if I had 42 #injectors i would have been done

go big and be covered .
high Z 60s make sense these days

Now there you have it. Four of us experts all with different opinions & probably all of them good . So the moral to this is pick one person who has a history of sucsess & stick with thier recommendations. Probably one of the venders in your area.That also supplies chips to match your combination & has tuneing experience
 
alrighty then. theres a guy around here who races tr's and sells a/m parts for turbo regals and he says go with 60's. he can get it for me but all's he doing is ordering it for me cause he orders from sources in the internet.
so i can skip the middle man and order it myself,as for a guy who can tune i have that covered through my buddy.

so i guess 60' it is!! :eek:
so know ill be getting a thdp,stretch i.c. :D
 
My car ran hundreds of passes in the high 11's with a best of 11.53 @ 118.31 with Bluetop 36# injectors and a $20 Thrasher 108.

If 11.99 is your goal, there is no real reason to go bigger than 36#'s

Since NHRA tracks kind of allow 11.49, now and you probably won't want to stop there, I'd say go 50's or higher.

Many 50 chips out there. Buddies all ran 50# inj. so I joined in. Had same combo and ran mid 11's all day. 60's are the "in" thing now, so I suggest go with those...BTW, 11.49 is roll bar time now.
 
All the above is correct and have worked with your setup,Bigger injs will give you room to grow as stated because owners are always wanting more.Just have chip designed to your setup.
 
I think I understand about starting off big and grow into them. Once you hit the 11.99 you'll be happy for that day. Then you'll want 11.59 then 10.99 and so on and so on. Then your wife and kids will leave you, because your broke and all you have on your mind is BIGGER TURBO. BIGGER INJECTORS and BIGGER SLICKS, YEH!! That should work. WAIT!! Maybe if I sell the house and my five other cars I can TWIN TURBOCHARGE IT!! :eek: Good Luck!! Ed

Gosh Ed ! your starting to sound a little scary. Just give him permission to run big injectors & calm down. LOL
 
Bought car had stock inj. Had Eric burn 2 chips $125
Bought 50# inj. $300 had Eric re-burn more chips $125
Bought 60's cause 50's would not handle the 1\4 mile with new heads $350
Wishing I would just bought the 60's to begin with and saved closed to $600

Your are running razors alky kit and you want low 12's high 11's 36lbs blue tops no need to go any bigger,hell i want mid 12's with 30lbs and alky stock turbo.Unless you plan to go faster theres no reason to go bigger than 36lbs.
