Thanks to all for your thoughts and best wishes. Looks like I got a staff infection about 8 weeks ago (about the time I got my teeth cleaned) and it got into my spine, bone and muscle. I was told yesterday that the infection is the least aggressive and should be able to be treated in 4-6 weeks with antibodies (some of the aggressive staff infections require the patient to be on antibodies for the rest of their lives). They are going to send me home today and my wife can administer the medication through a "pick line" that is located in my arm.
Thanks again,
Jeff
