i purchased a new TA-49 from Kirban's. I also want to install 36 lb injectors. any recommendations on what kind to purchase and where to get them.

I have to agree if you're spending the money, spend it once and get the 60s they will take you into the 10s if you decide to move up in the future.

Thank you very much for the info and can you let me know how do the 60's work for dailey driving?

tt chip and 42's ran great with the 49 as does 36lbs.in most cases injectors are bought based off the power one wants to make.60's are a lot of injector and I believe these cars work better with the injector sized properly.

Get the 60's buy once I run a te 44 and very happy

A TA-49 and 36# injectors are an excellent match as we have done this many times.

For ~$100 you you could get a good set of 36# injectors and a chip. If you decide to upgrade your build later, they are a very salable item

There is a step by step instructions with pictures on Vortex Buick. I just swapped mine to 60s and that write up walked me right thru it.

I now have the new turbo, injectors, injector harness and chip. One of the steps in the chip installation instructions is to set the fuel pressure to 43 PSI. Is the stock fuel regulator ajustable and if so how do I do it?

Some people will say you can increase pressure by crushing the can of the stock regulator or something like that but we wont cobble anything else on our cars together so why try with something that if it leaks can burn your car to the ground?
You will need an adjustable fuel pressure valve and at min a rail mounted gauge. That gauge takes the place of the shrader valve at the end of the rail. Then you can slowly increade pressure while watching that gauge. Having it mounted all the time allows you to check it everyonce and a while when its running with the hood up.
You also set the pressure with the vacuum lined removed, set it to 43, then reattach the vac line. It will drop to around 38 with the vac line on.
Hope this all helps.

Just get a stock 237 regulator. They are cheap (bone yard) and reliable.

Is the 237 regulator ajustable or is it preset to the 43PSI?

They are not adjustable , base pressure will be about 45lbs to 46lbs with line off , I tryed one and it ran fine but later went with one I could adj like the Billet from Kirban , my chip from TT recommends 43lbs at idle with line off .
