Going to put on one of Turbonetics billet boost controllers. Directions say to leave the top port on the external wastegate to vent to atmosphere. From what I have been reading on various posts it seems most people plumb them closed loop with a hose running to both ports of the wastegate.

This unit has a bleed valve on it so not sure if that makes a difference or not. Trying to get a better handle on the boost issues with my new 6262 dbb turbo. And yes, have already ported the crap out of the exhaust housing and the downpipe flange.

i didnt take mine to work today Mark, or i'd look right now...if no one pipes up i'll shoot you a pic of mine when I get home

So how do u like that new turbo compared to what u were runnen b4? What size is that TN WG?

If the unit vents like the old compressor valves we use, then you can run a hose to the inlet of the regulator from the bottom of the gate, make sure you T in a boost reference. For the top, just come out the other side of the regulator and go into the top of the gate.

The TR computer speaks again:biggrin:

Why does T-netics say to leave the top port as a vent in their directions?? Talking about the little billet one they sell. Has a bleeder jet in it that you can change. Can you plumb it either way?
