Blower motor works fine with the exception of the "hi" setting, changed resistor switch under hood, new switch at climate control same outcome no "hi", Any suggestion? Thanks TB family

Pop the cover off the silver relay, clean the contacts inside by dragging a piece of sandpaper between them. It worked for me.

The most common cause of this specific issue is a corroded connector pin on the AC wire bundle connector from the dash to engine compartment.

It is located by the AC box fan motor and fender.

Disconnect the plug and clean both male and female sides. Look for the heavy red wire in the connector.

the high speed fan relay is circled in red in this pic..

Agree with Nick. Seen that connector cause this problem a bunch. Take it apart And you will usually see the corrosion. Clean it up and it magically works again. Good Luck

I have to do this to mine also.

If Nick speaks it is law lol. I thank you sir you have helped me many, many times and you are a wealth of knowledge on these cars.

Nick is correct. That connector is a major source of concern. It sits right under the hood/fender seam, and as such is constantly getting wet from rain or car washing. On top of that it is NOT as weatherpack connector. My HVAC system stopped blowing one day, and after a lot of troubleshooing found that that connector had such bad corrosion that the large red wire connection had melted away!!!

Had to bypass the connector with a new large gauge power wire.

thank fellas fixed finnally problem was at the plug from relay to firewall it was screwed up at plug so I just hardwired past the plug and shes blowing proper

Yup, that's the one!! Notice it sits rite under where the hood and fender meet, where all the water can drip on it, and corrode it. Why they didn't use a weather pack connector there is a huge mystery!!
