blowing off vacum lines

its blowing off the line that runs to the charcoal canister and once the line to the fuel reg.what would cause this?thanks

Tie wrap all your vacuum lines.
That should fix it.

Yes...when I got alky injection I actually shot the line off the PCV and it hit the hood...lol...I was freaked out...Boost in a tiny space does wierd thinsg to little hoses... You will also notice that oil seeps a little out of the lines the more boost u run, too much oil isn't good though...

it freaked me out too.it is no good at all though when you blow the one going to the fuel reg!!! my line is tight going on there but i put a tie on it.

If the line to the charcoal canister is blowing off then your check valve is shot...get a new one...the check valve on the line going to the EGR is probably shot too...just replace them both...

Or they could be installed backwards???

Mine kept blowing off the EGR line. I clamped it but would that be a check valve problem also?

Most likely...take the check valve off and blow through it from each side...if you can blow through it both ways it's shot...over time I think boost takes it's toll on those valves...

Check Valve Replacement

The stock one-way check valves for our Buicks have 1/4 inch male ends. Motormite part number 47149 (found in auto part stores Help Sections), have 1/8 and 1/4 inch male ends. Easy to adapt by using a small piece of vacuum hose over the small end. Will work just as good as a stock one.
