I noticed traffic on the board seems to have slowed a bit. It seems now that spring has arrived for most of us, people are more busy driving there Buicks instead of talking about them. It's still a bit chilly here in the northeast this week. But it's not that bad anymore.

So, why do I feel like I'm the only moron who has so much spring cleaning and winter fix-it work to do that I won't be driving until July? I mean, there doesn't seem to be enough hours in a day and I can't seem to get this stuff done. It never ends.

Hey Joey!
How was the activity last Saturday at Kirban's.:D

Glad to finally get to meet you. For a new guy, you sure have made us old timers, look like rookies.
Keep up the good work. Can't wait to get to see your car. We want to see more pics.

Happy spooling.
Mike B.

The car needs some general maintenance, service and cleaning. There is also a couple of odds and ends that I would like to do. If I wasn't so neurotic I would just start it and go. But I never do that in the spring. I force myself to do a full "go-through". I also had the front rim develop a crack last fall. I contacted Weld and they have sent me a replacement. So I need to get 2 new front tires and also have the new rim mounted.......That's another story. Otherwise, the car is exactly the way I drove it back from Cecil last fall......minus the tire rubber. (I removed that last year before I put it away for the winter.) See pictures below.

But the car isn't the problem. It's the rest of my life that took such a beating from the STUPID HARSH WINTER of 2014/15!!!! I have damaged walkways and collapsed retaining walls at the house. The crappy daily drivers are in need of service as well. Some siding blew of the house on the north side.
Roof gutters are loose from snow loads. I have a gravel driveway that has turned to mud! And to make things more interesting.....I have a 15 year old girl who wants to start Family Fun Days as soon as the weekends get nice. And it's hard to say "NO!" to a 15 year old girl.

Oh, it's easy to say "no" but by that age they have learned from their mother that "no" is not a real answer. :)
Good luck with handling the things you can fix.

I just brought mine home from storage today. Will be spending more time here for sure. Winter was long and cold in this Canadian city.

I think there is a problem with the board. I made the earlier post above and sent it. And it didn't go through. Then I wrote 2 more posts and they went through fine. Now those 2 are gone and the first one above has finally appeared! Did anyone see this? Mike, didn't you respond to one of the vanishing posts?

Strange.

Crazy server problems since April 25th..seems to be worked out as of now..

Joey, you aren't the only moron stuck with springtime duties! I'm still in the process of pressure washing my garage....76ft x 26 feet, two stories, with a long, long rod, with a very bad back and a hip that's about to come apart at the seams.....and still have the upper story to do, plus the far end, two stories high, and that part is in mud. Plus, I've got the whole house to do, AND the two car carport, AND all the cracks in the driveway has to be filled by grinding out the cracks with a diamond wheel, then filled with this rubber crap, as I was putting off that job due to personal problems, plus, I have all the gutters on both buildings to clean out as I do twice a year, along with my '69 Vette's engine is apart waiting for the new harmonic balancer, clutch cross shaft, long tube headers to be put on, along with cutting/fitting the new side pipes, and some welding to do, PLUS the transmission oil and filter on my '08 Jeep Grand Cherokee has to be changed, and I can't do that as it has a Mercedes transmission, so the dealer will rob me blind, PLUS, the Grand National is still waiting to be put back together, PLUS, the 3 acres of grass has to be mowed, AND still haven't got the hood open on my '89 Jeep Cherokee due to the winter snows rusting up the hood release, been fighting that all day, PLUS, rain, rain, rain, the laundry to do tomorrow while cleaning the garage, then take my wife shopping, THEN pay a fortune to coat the driveway, THEN fix the leak on our roof, AND take care of my late Mom's estate......all this with the worse pain I've been having in years! I had to take two days off from the pressure washing as I couldn't stand anymore after four hours of it, AND ALSO cut up three fallen trees on the property. Can't even get around to putting my new guitar back together either. I am slowly getting aggravated.

I feel your pain, buddy.:depressed:

I haven't been able to load the website for two days now. This is the first time it's opened up for me

Bruce, The worst part is that while I'm wrapped up in all these chores, I see all these punks driving their Hot-Rods around town enjoying the new spring weather! I get so disturbed when I pull to a red light next to some jerk in his Ferrari and I'm in my 98 Honda Civic with a rusty roof and missing hub caps. I want to say "wait right here, I'll be back in a few weeks to hand you your ass!" But instead, I just keep my head down and pretend not to notice so as not to give him the satisfaction he's looking for..........also I hope no one notices me either.

Very, very nice looking TR

Hey Bruce you make me feel good, I only have half as much as you! ;) Thanks man

My word Joey, thought I had some money tied up in my car. However if it runs like it looks, well the only thing that I can think of >> 1st class. One of the best I have ever seen.

That is one of the best thought out Buicks I've seen in a long time. It's nice to see that there are still people who are willing to bring it to the next level. We need this kind of motivation.
