Hey guys, I know its been some time since I have posted... The other day I decided to install a boost and temp. gauge in my T Type. I got everything hooked up with no problem except the boost gauge will not show any boost? Its reading vaccume just fine but no boost? I hooked the gauge in the vaccume block. I have the boost gauge on my 87' hooked into the vaccume block on that car and it works just fine. Do the hotair cars need to have the gauge hooked up in another location??? Or is something else wrong? Thanks! -Adam

You hook it into the map sensor line I believe. Mine was hooked up to a line on the back of the intake as well but it was a pain to get to. The lines ontop of the tb will only show vac

Ok, Thank you. That would make sense. I would have thought the vaccume block would work becuase it does on my 87' but I suppose the hot air cars don't work the same way.

On the 84/85's there is actually a port that goes directly into the intake manifold. Looking at your intake with the hood up it is located on the front drivers side of the intake. It is just to the right of the coolant sensor. You just remove the factory plug and most boost gauge kits have the correct fitting that screws right in.
