Brake master cylinder source?

I need a new brake master cylinder. Brake peddle will slowly go to floor and then brake light will come on. Any recommendations on vender? I have been reading about coverting to vacuum brakes. Any thoughts? Pros and con? My car is 84 gn stock. I plan to keep it stock.

Do you have a leak somewhere? If your car is original you have hydroboost. Convterting to vac would be a step backwards, IMO. You can get a new master cyl at any parts store, if that is the problem.

I think the master cylinder is leaking. I am planing on replacing the master cylinder. But in doing so reading on this site, I see where lots of guys have converted to vacuum, and I was wondering about pros and cons. I think I will stay with the hydro boost and keep car stock.

Keep the hydroboost and you'll be more than happy. Get a new master and not a rebuilt one. Best way to go.
