I didn't realize car enthusiest still watched nascar. I thought it turned into a sport for people who wanted to act like car enthusiest. If they'd go back to the fighting, cig smoking, non cookie cutter car days I'd turn it back on. I love to watch the nascar back in the day shows.

NHRA top fuel>nascar;)

My dad liked NASCAR before it was cool, back in the 70s when they didnt even show flag to flag coverage.

he would get pissed when they would cut away to slalom skiing:eek:

I just watch the shootouts, Daytona, Talladega, and Bristol.

Good naps are taken while they are going roundy round LOL

It is better than the NBA for Gosh sakes:cool:

I agree with that. Nascar with the volume on low on a Sunday afternoon and my butt on the couch is some good sleep.

my friend called me this morning and offered me a extra ticket he had to go with him to it and instead i went fishing..I dont watch it and wasnt even sure what it was..

Watched that race last night. My first Nascar race in LCD Widescreen HD.

HOLY CRAP!! Can't believe what I've been missing!!

For all the JR haters:tongue:

My boy is the stuff:biggrin: He just needed the right car:cool:

I'm curious as to how he'll do with the best equipment. I've always said his popularity was passed on to him to him because of fan's love of his dad. He never did earn it.

Tony Steward said in the post race interview that Jr. may even be BETTER than his dad. That surprised me although it's to be taken with a grain of salt since Tony and Jr. are buds.

We'll see how he does this year, although last night was a good start for him.

If you go back to last year and if the race ended where 1 lap before his car blowed he would have been your points winner!

His dad has an older son Kerry we all know. Sr never put him in a big time race. Even he knew he didn't have it..... Sr. knew Jr. has it and taught him well. Teresa ruined D.E.I.

May not have been a pionts race, but Jr. showed his stuff! Good driver, great equipment (finally), and.....
He hadn't been in a winner's circle of any type since 2006! So I think this season should be interesting.

..mighty, mighty large statement. He's good and he's my favorite driver...mainly because of his Dad. But I don't think he qualifies as better than Big E.

If he can win championships without constantly putting people in the wall to take the lead then I would consider him to be better than his dad. Of course he hasn't got a championship yet despite all the nascar mystery cautions helping him out so it's hard to say which one is/was better.

There. That oughta spark some conversation.

Go Jr.!!!!

Now we'll see what a really good driver can do with some really good equipment around him.
