I am restoring a 87GN that was neglected. I was just curious if most people are base clearing the front and rear bumpers like the car or are they using some kind of semi gloss. I was told by a buddy that some people powder coat them. I plan on using the car to cruise a little and taking it to car shows, but it only has 21K miles on it, so I want to it be somewhat original.

I'd go with powdercoating them. It's to late for orginality if they need to be painted. You might as well go with something that will last forever. IMO it doesn't make any difference what paint is on them as long as it looks good. All powdercoating is, is paint ground up into a solid form instead of a liquid. Powder can be any level of glossiness you need it to be.
