Props to you for bringing back a GN from the dead.

I would think though the burned sheet metal is now warped?

Let me know how those headers hold up.

I wish I would have gotten to that turbo century before it went to the junkyard. Had no rust and it was close to complete. An SFI motor would have been sweeet in that little car. Plus it was a lightweight with aluminum bumper braces:cool:

Jeremy, you've lost your mind! Maybe I can bring mine to you for a frame off if you don't get gainfully employed in the next 6 months.

Hey you should!:) He was just telling me how much he likes doing it. He thinks it's fun;)

Craig, bring it up here brother! I'm a loser with no job so anything helps.

And yes Jesse, I do like doing this stuff for some strange reason!!! Wait till you see whats in the works next!!! Body off resto AGAIN, 4.1L Lear Seigler, converted 84!!!!!!

How much of the wiring in the dash was damaged? How long does it take to pull one out? Dash replacement looks to be the hardest part!

the hardest part of pulling the dash is getting the steering shaft on and off (for me it was) and getting the speedo cable undone from the back when you can't get it undone from under the hood:rolleyes: Not bad. It's nice having a friend around to help though. If you haven't done it I would plan on a half day project

It was all trashed. I can usually swap dash harnesses in about 1-2 hours.

Awesome work there, buddy. You've got my admiration. Thanks for saving it, AND doing a great job to boot.

Is that setting East of Holton on a 2 lane hiway with a personalized tag?

Left a business card in their doow but no call back?

MAAAYYYBBEEE.

Just gotta know the right people! Also helps to roll up in a nice GN.

I thought about buying it but just don't have time to fix it. Id be too tempted to part it.

Guy put some SERIOUS money into that car, said his wife drove it with a blown headgasket, got water in the oil, and drove it home  . Claims to have 20k in it, and I believe him. You can buy a running car for what it'd take to buy it, but you can't buy the RJC front mount, the FAST XFI, the art carr trans, 70mm turbo, roller rockers, and the rest, for the money it takes to buy it.....

most of it is off the car, tucked away safely, but I saw it all. Also he has an 86 t type shell and some NOS stuff for it. He owns a body shop, says he hopes to have time this winter to fix it, but cash in hand is king!

I am at the Starlight Monday night, then Red Roof in Holton Tuesday night.

Cool! I hope you guys snag it up and save it! If it's not rusty, please dont part it.

The front clip was replaced. I stripped the car down to bare firewall and frame, sandblasted everything to bare metal, primed and painted. When I am ready to paint, the car will be stripped, no trying to paint over blistered paint. Really most of the paint isn't that bad. Roof and trunk lid is blistered some, other then that not to bad. I happened to find this car next to a garage on a trailer, glad to be able to save it!!!!! The car is rock solid. Thanks to Jeremy for all the work!!!!!!! Tyson

If it wasn't for Jeremy, Keith, and the rest of the GOOD people on the board my car would definitely not be as far as it is. What year is it going on now, number 4?? There will be times where it feels it isn't worth the time and money. Myself and a few others have way too much money into our "saved" cars. You gotta look at it this way-1. You saved one. 2. It's yours. 3. You know exactly what's done to it and whats not, no surprises. Nothing better than driving a rock solid all new car, even if it does look like crap:biggrin:
