C02 bottle lifespan

How long does a 10 oz. C02 bottle last at the track with an AMS controller? Debating on buying the bigger bottle so I don't risk running out at the track.

Send a note to DonWg and he should be able to tell you. From what I remember though you'll want a bigger one so you don't have to worry about it.

10 oz refill couple times a year
2.5lb refill once a year

That is "IF" you have no leaks.

I keep a CO2 refill station with me at the races if you need refills.

Cool, I can't find a 2.5 pound bottle mount for a 1.25 roll cage. So it looks like a 10oz. is gonna be the way to go.

make sure you have at least 2 bottles. Then if you have a leak, your day is not done..

I run the AMS 1000 with co2. I had the 10oz bottles. I traded my friend with a dragster for a 2.5 lbs bottle. Best thing I ever did!! those little bottles run out too quick and are hard to find somebody to refill them. Any welding gas place will do the 2.5 bottle. It really suxs when you run out of co2 in the middle of a race.

I'm going to use nitrogen for a stable pressure at different temps. 2.5 lb bottle.

Is their a big difference to run a Bottle with the AMS1000? I was planning on NOT using one..
