I replaced a noisy cam sensor with a new one. The car cranks and runs fine after installation, but I think it is turning over more than it used to before starting. What does this mean and how should I try to fix it?

Is the replacement brand new OEM or a new as rebuilt?
How did you adjusted the Cam Sensor after installation?
Check out these sites on more clarification of adjusting the Cam Sensor

It's brand new OEM. It seems to be ok for now. I had disconnected the fuel pump and the orange power cord to the ECM so it wouldn't crank while I was kicking the engine over to get to 25 ATDC and I think it just needed some time to get everything back in check.

Thanks for the links. I've read all I could find on the web about it.

I removed the old sensor, but before I did I marked everything I could with a dab of paint so it could all be lined up again if needed. I removed the cap from the sensor before pulling it completely out. I then put a piece of tape across it so it wouldn't turn so much and so I would be able to keep it as close as possible to where it was. I took pictures as well. I then removed the sensor. I took the new sensor and lined up everything just like the old sensor and reinstalled. I had the dot on the bottom facing the passenger side and the wires for the cap facing the driver's headlight. I put it all back together then fired it up. It took a little bit to crank but I think it was because of the fuel pump being disconnected.

I'm glad you figure it out and maybe in the future you might want to get a Casper Cam tool for easy Cam Sensor adjustment. I have one and it work great when I replaced the timing chain and both sprockets. http://www.casperselectronics.com/store2/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=653

While I had the Harmonic Balancer out I grinded the 25* mark painted white and spray clear coat for future reference.
