So I rotate to TDC on the compression stroke and line up @ zero

This is what I did

Pulled #1 spark plug out and slowly rotated engine by hand (with my thumb over the whole ) until I felt air hitting my thumb and lined up the mark to zero

I also looked in the spark plug whole to confirm piston going to the top then go down as I past zero

Is this the compression stroke?
My window on the cam sensor was facing this way

need to put the reference point of 25* atd on the balancer, rotate the engine to 25* which the window on the sensor needs to be at 330. Then I use a cam sensor tool to rotate the cam cap till it lights

So with what I've mentioned , So Does everything Seem correct? I'm replacing the timing gear set

Measure 1.45" from the zero mark on the balancer to the left (while you are facing the engine) and make a mark....that will be 25* after tdc. That's where the engine needs to be when you drop in the cam sensor....when it's fully seated, the window should face the #1 spark plug. That should be the starting point for using the caspers cam sensor tool or back probing with a digital voltmeter.
