I posted in the new members section about by 87 GN “New Member WNC”. All the parts that were mentioned is now irrelevant since finding out the the car is needing to be completely rebuilt. The transmission is trashed as is the motor. So here we go, down the rabbit hole of turbo Buick builds.

The block is currently at a machine shop getting bored .020 over.
I’ve purchased a GN1 long rod stroker kit
ARP fasteners
Calico bearings
Revolution X 212/218 112*roller cam
Holley HP EFI
Hydroboost conversion

I figure if I’m this far in, the old pt70 should probably be replaced too. I’m looking at the HPT 6466. Let me know if you have any other suggestions. This will mostly be a street car. I live in the mountains so suspension and brakes are in the near future and I like the “pro-touring” look.

New parts.
The transmission is also being rebuilt. It was originally built by PMAC so I’m hoping that most of the good parts in there will be reusable.

Wow! I’m sorry to hear the news, but am glad you’re committed to making it right.

With the way the face of the ft cam brg bore is chewed up I look at getting it repaired and install a thrust brg.

Thanks for the advice. I can’t see any of the pictures though. Could you attach a link or possibly send me the pictures directly so I can share with my machine shop.
Thanks.

Thanks.
The link is in my post.
As for the pics.. They're most likely gone when the crash occurred.

Well, that didn’t work either.
I appreciate the effort. I’ll try to explain the information I’ve been given or at least mention it to the machine shop, but without fully understanding and seeing what I’m trying to an achieve it’s going to be difficult. Hopefully they know how to address the problem without me trying to explain.

Here are screenshots of the photos.
I hope they help.

Welcome to the world of Turbo Buicks
Where oil leaks are bountiful and loads of cash spent 😆

The guy that designed the engine hoist also designed the V Sicks Buick..........o_O
Apparently, he wasn't selling enough hoists.
