Cant control boost

Ohhh. No I mean cutting coils on the waste gate spring. Since its like 4 inches tall an has to fit into a hole 2 inches or less it should take some of the tension off and let it open sooner to bring boost down, well in theory I think anyways.
 
That's what I was thinking also. I have the boost controller on it now but never worked, so delta gate it is unless I can save some money for a real tial gate :-D

Hot rod , Don't cut any coils. I just spoke to the vendor about your problem & he requested that you call him so he can provide the correct spring for your application.
 
Thanks for the help! I looked online at their website and didn't see different springs for that gate. I will call Monday for sure.

The vendor is aware of the problem & had a batch of springs made for lower boost levels. Also make sure your controller indicates 25 # on the back side of it which is the limit that it will allow. There is some 50# or higher out there that may cause you a problem. Granger sells them online. The Delta gate is useless above about 350 H.P. & wouldn't recommend it. That is totally incorrect and I would put it on a car long before Archie's Chinese crap. With a manual boost controller I have run 20+ psi no problem.
I don't think you understood the man's problem. He wants to be able to run less boost. The tiny valve in the deltagate
isn't able to control boost on a high H.P. Application. That's why turbonetics developed the race gate. I don't think they would botherd if the deltagate was that adequate. My other question is have you ever had an engine that was capable of putting out more than 350.

I understand his problem, I also understand putting Chinese products on a car from a non supporting vendor for the purpose of price mark up.
 
I'm a supporting vendor paying for the bandwidth that your enjoying . Also got some news for you Williams this non supporting vendor you refer to supplies a lot of hard to get parts to folks here. For one example I challenge you to try & find a stroker crank at a fair deal anywhere else. I dont recall any vendors here that aren't also marking up the price of their parts. It's call free enterprise & capitalism which I support. It's also a bit hypocritical when you earn a pay check by marking up your labor to the boss you work for. Now I understand your reluctance to have me work for you since you have those vast resources & brain trust from your significant other to draw upon. I suppose now you will start texting me threats again. I would advise against that because I intend to prosecute if you choose to do so.

I seem to remember you getting banned from here several times also. I,m not promoting any other vendors allowed or otherwise. I,m simply trying to help a forum member out with a problem.Again I have paid for the right to do so. If you have a problem with that let,s have Shane settle it.

Lou hasn't done anything in this thread other than disagree with the advice you gave the OP, just the same as you are disagreeing with Lou.

As for putting ANY brand parts on "customers cars they trust with you", no matter the source, who the hell are you to call out a supporting vcndor here?

The DP Lou put on my car worked fine for the first and lower horsepower combo (something I understand you are quite well aquainted with:p ) I had in the car at first, so what exactly is the problem with what was done to MY car with MY permission? Are you gonna try to tell ME or anyone else where we can source parts, smart guy?

I have a very nice, clean, high horsepower, fast and most of all, RELIABLE car. That's thanks to Lou. There are many more folks out there with cars built by Lou that have the same story.

So, before you come in here and call someone of Lou's standing in the community out, perhaps you should earn some credibilty of your own.

Just what the hell were you trying to accomplish, anyway?
