cant pass smog norcal???????

hey guys well i posted in general tech area not knowing there was a smog section sorry!!!!!so my car failed smog twice after replacing the o2 sensor replaced the egr valve and the egr solenoid what else they tell me replace the cat but thats alot is there anything else i should try ?????????

You can try to use an emissions chip.

You might want to consider giving Lou Czarnota at Lou's Auto Service at (949) 378-1590 and see what he suggests, but if they suggested a cat, that might be what it needs. Might also want to consider borrowing a cat up there from another turbobrick that has passed.

And whats in the car? Stock? Modded? Do you even have a cat? etc...
Doesen't it sound odd that he needs a new cat and egr and isn't having drivability issues?
And emissions chip (matched to you setup) is also a strong recommendation.

thanks guys a couple people pm me and told me that the cat needs to be replaced if the previuos owner didnt and well that seemed to be it i replaced it and it passes smog i guess i should do a full run thru and replace parts that look like they never been replaced thanks for all the help guys really appreciate it
