Can't make above 19-20 lbs of boost even after I keep turning it up. Boost should go to 23-24 in 3rd where the bc and rod is set. Car runs good until boost reaches this level. Anything to try? Maybe wastegate problems?thanks

Do you have a high boost actuator? That may be the issue.

OR...If not, attach a "helper spring" to the wg and see what happens.

Take a peek at the compressor wheel too. I had a problem like that before. Blades were chewed up due to eating MAF screens.

What turbo and heads? My TE-44 won't blow over 23# of boost with the wastegate shut at my altitude of 5400'.

It's possible you may have a loose hose or a small pinhole in the intercooler.

I had a te-53 do that...2 passes later it failed in voilent fashion...Nothing was worth keeping on it.

What size turbo/what heads? You may just be running out of turbo, or you may have turbo damage.Brian
