Great news!!! You have just nipped in the bud what I have considered the most distasteful aspect of our site. I was planning to list my 86 TR this summer, but only locally. I have changed my mind now.

I have a car for sale now and got a lot of this negative...almost to the point of it being trivial just to try to find something to pick apart. I sell a ton of cars online and have NEVER seen a site that allows that sort of thing...I think its a wise idea to cut back on it (or I wont ever offer another one for sale on here.)

sounds crazy but you should only allow the actual listing to be posted. No other reply comments.. would make your job easier.

It would Force a true buyer to PM, phone call or Email contact.. that would cut out the non serious tire kickers or comments.

I agree 100%...if you have no intrest in buying it (or can't afford it) dont comment on it or question it. Just look and dream and STF up.

As one that has a car up on the board it is definitely appreciated....I have been in the game a long time as a tuner and shop owner but it never ceases to amaze me how many Intraweb Specialists lurk on the forums. If half of those that are so critical were as all-knowing as they claim...they wouldn't be sitting on Grandma's couch in the single wide cruising WebTV to post their knowledge.

Thats right..... they make their own beds.

I have lost a friend or 2 here already over morals. One friend in particular that I really liked. It's a shame but life goes on.

There is a fine line. Above and beyond anything, we should protect our members from potential scams or bad deals. It's going to be a tough job.
